Our Pressure Washing Process
Most so called pressure washing companies just try to clean with pressure or psi (pounds per square inch). But really it’s the gpm (gallons per minute) that makes the difference, along with the proper cleaning products and chemicals. We never use harsh chlorine cleaners or solvent based strippers that may end up damaging your property in the long run. You can be confident in our results because we are certified in the field of pressure cleaning. Take a look at our three step process below.
FIRST
Remove any debris and carefully scrape off any growth that may be present. This process has to be done carefully so as not to damage any wood shakes.
SECOND
Product is now mixed and ready to use once operator combines with water. This begins the oxygenation process. No harsh bleach and no surface or vegetation aggressive chemicals will be used. Once the product is applied, it is allowed to dwell on the surface for the proper amount of time. A low pressure (500 psi - 1,000 psi) is all that is required for the cleaning. Higher pressures would cause the wood surface to "fuzz" up.
THIRD
Finally, the brightening process takes place. We brighten weathered wood to revive its natural color. This takes place 1 to 4 days after application. Then, the brightening detergent is neutralized. This is important since high pH detergents that are left active could quickly deteriorate and destroy wood. So we always neutralize and restore the proper pH level.
